Text: Acts 1:8
“But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you…”
The Holy Spirit is not just a feeling — He is the power of God at work in a believer’s life.
Before the Holy Spirit came, the disciples were afraid, hiding, and uncertain. But after the Holy Spirit came in Acts 2, everything changed. The same men who once hid began to speak boldly, heal the sick, and turn the world upside down.
This shows us something powerful:
The difference between a struggling believer and a victorious believer is the presence and operation of the Holy Spirit.

1. The Holy Spirit Gives Power to Live Right
We cannot overcome sin by willpower alone.
The Holy Spirit empowers us to live a holy life.
Romans 8:13 tells us that by the Spirit, we put to death the deeds of the flesh.
What you cannot conquer by strength, you conquer by the Spirit.
2. The Holy Spirit Gives Boldness
Fear disappears when the Spirit takes over.
Peter, who denied Jesus, stood before thousands and preached with boldness.
When the Holy Spirit fills you, you cannot be silent about Jesus.
3. The Holy Spirit Reveals God to Us
The Holy Spirit is our teacher.
He opens our understanding of the Word.
He makes the Bible come alive.
He speaks to our hearts and guides our decisions.
4. The Holy Spirit Empowers Us for Purpose
You are not called to live an ordinary life.
The Holy Spirit gives gifts, direction, and divine ability to fulfill God’s assignment.
Without Him, we struggle. With Him, we function in grace and power.
Conclusion
The question is not: Is the Holy Spirit available?
The question is: Are you yielded to Him?
The power of the Holy Spirit is not for a few — it is for every believer who is hungry, surrendered, and willing.
